After feeling guilty about buying expensive jewelry, only to get bored of it months later, Fatima Khan came up with the idea for Jetworthy; an online borrowing service for luxe fashion accessories. Jetworthy works like most subscription services, charging members a monthly flat-rate based on the value range of the items they are interested in borrowing. Members then select the items they would like to borrow within said range, and the item is sanitized and shipped to their front door.
Before fulfilling her dream of building her own company, Fatima worked as a management consultant, digital brand strategist and computer engineer, and lived in 4 continents, now calling NYC her home. Fatima values good design and great customer experiences, having advised Fortune 500 companies. That, along with beautiful jewelry, is what she brings to the customer with Jetworthy.
Third Wave Fashion got the opportunity to ask Fatima a few questions of our own.

ShopRagHouse was started by former roommates at Harvard Law School, Joana Florez and Bridgette Hylton. The friends left legal practice to launch ShopRagHouse.com: a fashion tech startup that allows designers the opportunity to put their own designs in front of prospective buyers who then vote on which designs make it to production.
Since launching their site in beta, Joana and Bridgette have amassed a wealth of knowledge about social media, marketing, lean startup principles, and coding. You can follow their journey on Twitter at @TheRagHouse.
Third Wave Fashion had the chance to speak with Joana and Bridette and ask them a few questions of our own.
It’s true; we’re coming to the West Coast! Starting in Los Angeles, then San Francisco, Third Wave Fashion is planning to host two events that mirrors the panel-style meetups that we’re known for in NYC. We’re also taking “internal demo days” appointments where you book some time with us to tell us about your startup, and in turn receive feedback, get entered into our database, and just overall get to know one another!
