After watching the fashion blogger and influencer movement grow over the past few years, Spain natives  Álvaro Jiménez and  David Martín decided to pack up their lives in Europe and move to New York City to create a platform for bloggers to monazite their knowledge. Notorious,  set to launch mid-January 2013, aims to bring the personal shopper experience to users’ pockets through a marketplace where they can ask their favorite bloggers, “it girls,” and other fashion influencers for personal styling guidance in real time.

Third Wave Fashion has been lucky enough to work with the men behind Notorious and asked them a few questions of our own.

Inspired by a vision to redine the robe and create the go-to garment for a women that brings together fashion and functionality without sacrificing comfort or style, Allegra Moet Brantly started a line of luxury robes, charmingly named A.MOET. The first collection of robes, The Ellaments (just launched), features jewel-tone shades of amber yellow, amethyst purple, topaz blue, and emerald green with prints inspired by her time spent living in Brazil. A.MOET robes perfectly bring together the beauty of the classic wrap dress, and the utility of a towel, reminding women as founder Allegra says, “that they really can have it all.”
Third Wave Fashion had the chance to speak with A.MOET founder, Allegra, just in time for the first collection’s launch, to ask her a few questions of our own.

Silicon Beach: Fashion Tech’s New Home

useme

Our meetup last night was a great success! Produced in partnership with FABCounsel, last night’s event was focused on figuring out how the fashion tech scene is evolving in the Los Angeles area, and boy did we learn a lot.

We started off with brief demos from 3 promising startups. The founders of The Style Club, Unscruff, and Fidoo all showed off their companies to the stylish crowd of entrepreneurs, marketing pros, and techies. Check them out!

We then moved on to the panel portion of the evening. We had an incredible speaker line-up: : David Oh, Director of Acquisitions at Beachmint, Alisa Gould Simon, Co-founder of Pose, Dan Murillo, Founder of Little Black Bag, MJ Eng, President and founder of ShoeDazzle, and Robin Kaminsky, Executive at Residence at Rustic Canyon VC. read more »
