Valentine’s Day Spotlight: Sexy Startups

Valentine’s Day Spotlight: Sexy Startups

With Valentines day right around the corner (as in tomorrow) we found it only appropriate to take a closer look at some of the sexiest style startups in the fashion tech space. I mean who doesn’t love a day dedicated to bundles of roses, gourmet chocolate and lace undergarments?

The team behind ShoeMint, StyleMint and JewelMint are at it again, this time making sexy lingerie and loungewear for every mood and occasion. From rompers to silk sleep shorts, and lace bras, Creative Director, Brooke Burke Charvet, creates collections for the every woman that are beautiful and versatile. Beyond the chic designs, the best part about Intimint might just be the price. They range from $9.99 for a pair of panties to $79.99 for silk chemise. Affordable and sexy.

Fleur du Mal
Founded in 2012 by Jennifer Zuccarini, Fleur du Mal offers an extensive collection of sensual ready-to-wear pieces and lingerie. Meant to encourage “dressing and undressing,” Fleur du Mal has everything one could need, from a plunging neckline silk dress, to a leather corset. Not to mention, each of the pieces are beautiful and unique.

The french inspired startup up has introduced personalized lingerie just in time for cupids’ arrival. Nothing says ‘love’ like putting your lovers’ name on a beautiful pair of panties. The silk-chiffon “Say My Name Custom Monogram Panty” is made and packaged in New York City and retail for $98. They just might be the perfect Valentine’s day splurge.

Beside traditional lingerie, what is sexier than a perfectly cut robe? A.Moet is a collection of luxury robes made from the finest fabrics and inspired by tropical Brazil as well as the elements of stone, fire, water, and forest. Their first line, entitled The Ellaments, features shades of amber yellow, amethyst purple, topaz blue, and emerald green. The robes are sexy, comfortable, and can easily be transitioned into everyday wear.

You may recognize the name from a previous TWF feature on the startup and its founder, Allegra Moet Brandtly. A.Moet pieces are meant to make a woman feel like she can conquer the world from the comfort of her favorite robe. We don’t know about you, but lounging in one of A.Moet’s pieces sounds like the perfect Valentine’s Day evening to us.

Do you have a certain brand of underwear that you absolutely love and are willing to pay top dollar for? With MeUndies you can have your top quality basics, but at half the price of top quality brands. MeUndies eliminates the brick-and-mortar store, retail sales person and brand licensing fees, to provide customers with high quality underwear at an affordable price, and right to their door.

Men and women complete a simple online questionnaire before viewing their personalized underwear picks. Customers can make a one-time purchase, or pick a favorite pair for monthly auto-ship. Easy, affordable, and quite cute as well.

Adore Me
Launched in 2011, Adore Me is making the process of shopping for lingerie and underwear easier than ever. Like many other online subscription services, Adore Me offers customers a personalized selection of items (in this case intimates and hosiery) each month, delivered directly to their door. Each lingerie set, nightgown, chemise or pack of tights is $39.95, with free shipping, exchanges and returns. If you don’t want to buy that month, Adore Me gives subscribers the choice to opt out. But around Valentine’s Day we’re guessing few shoppers are opting out of great lingerie at an ever greater price. To learn more about this sexy startup, read our “Watch Out Wednesday” feature on them here.//

Don’t get us wrong, we are all for a good box of assorted chocolates or the bouquet of red roses, but we figured, why not try something a little sexier this year?  And while love may be all you need,  sexy lingerie will not hurt.
