As August comes to a close the city is reawakened from its quiet summer slumber as thousands of new people flood to New York City: a mix of hopeful job seekers, the lucky ones returning from restful vacations, and the multitude of students preparing for the new semester. Our streets are alight with fresh opportunities, new inspiration, and a ferver to learn more. What better way to kick off the emergence of fall than with a fresh new fashion conference?
Founded on the premise of advancing education through collaboration, Open Source Fashion (OSF), the NYC-based fashion networking group, is making moves this fall to further stimulate the city’s fashion community with its inaugural Freestyle Fashion Conference. The conference will offer a series of focused sessions relating to the business of fashion and retail with dedicated networking time to follow each class, creating opportunities for classmates and guest speakers to openly share ideas, contacts, and expertise with one another.
The OSF Freestyle Fashion Conference will ensure that attendees can tailor their experience to best align with their interests and business goals while learning in an intimate environment that facilitates networking and the establishment of meaningful connections. They’ll even be a fashion tech track.
What’s more, our founder Liza Kindred will be hosting a special class entitled “The State of Fashion Tech.” In this session, she’ll review different categories of fashion tech companies, discuss trends shaping the way we’re doing business, touch on emerging technologies, give practical tips for achieving success, and talk about innovative tools and companies redefining the fashion landscape.
