Immediate hire (contact to full-time) to assist in marketing initiatives for the Fashion Group. This position requires a proactive thinker with 3-5 years experience in marketing communications (no PR). Must have video and creative management experience. This position is located in Los Angeles – SANTA MONICA – (no relocation provided). Salary $60-$70K DOE experience.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
// Assists Marketing Director in assessing new business opportunities and developing strategic plans; provides ad hoc marketing analyses when needed.
// Leads, develops and implements effective and efficient tactical marketing programs that meet goals for readership, attendance, exhibitor promotion, category penetration, etc. Works with editorial/content team and/or outside vendors to develop and promote revenue-generating, quality features and online content, which might extent to publications, conferences, online communities and/or e-learning programs. Monitors progress vs. goals with agreed upon measures.
// Serves as the advocate for the “voice” of the customer; collaborates with audience (i.e. attendees, advertisers, manufacturers) to learn more about their needs; generates and analyzes market research and keeps marketing management up to date on what’s going on in the market and relates this information to strategy and new business opportunities.
// Attends conferences and trade shows to gather information on market, attendees and competition; monitors competitors and their marketing efforts.
// Works closely with the product development teams on new product roll out strategies and product life cycle analyses; identifies Unique Selling Propositions and clear, competitive differentiation points, and incorporates them into positioning strategies.
// Leverages email marketing results, web analytics reports and other marketing campaign analytics to continuously optimize performance of marketing programs, web site usability and conversion rates; leads and implements new online, publication and show features.
// Supports marketing efforts to negotiate partnerships and associations with other companies to strengthen our product offerings to users.
// Develops new business presentations including sales support materials.
// Manage and helps produce marketing videos (website and YouTube), manages creative asset development (blogs, website, email) and coordinate events.
// Oversees content providers and manages blog publications to MAGIConline.com
// Oversees photography and video team during live activations.
// Must be able to travel 15% of the time (New York and Las Vegas).
