FashioNXT’s Wearable Technology Fashion Competition

FashioNXT’s Wearable Technology Fashion Competition

In what The New York Times has called the “#1 Production in the US outside of New York Fashion Week,” Portland based FashioNXT has announced they are accepting submissions for their second annual Wearable Technology Fashion Competition.

FashioNXT is a fashion week in the most contemporary sense showcasing “what’s next in fashion”. At FashioNXT, extraordinary designers premier their next season’s collections on the runway. What’s next in fashion today is wearable technology and the innovative ways technology connects people to fashion. FashioNXT presents an innovative fashion experience here in Portland and the world takes notice.

Judges for the Wearable Technology Fashion Competition have a variety of backgrounds and experience, including Seth Aaron, the fashion designer winner of Project Runway Season 7 and Todd Harple, the wearable experience strategist at Intel.

The three chosen finalists will have their designs showcased on the FashioNXT’s 2015 runway, and the Wearable Technology Fashion Competition winner will receive $500 cash, be featured on, showcased at the FashioNXT 2015 show, receive consulting,  and more.

Anyone is invited to participate and submissions need to be turned into by Tuesday September 1st. The submissions include a 200 word description, conceptual sketches or drawings, and an optional one minutes video. Finalists will be announced by September 15th and the contest show date will be October 8th. Partners for this competition include Intel, Digital Trends, Lexus, and Wells Fargo.
