Heads up! Eyebeam, a nonprofit studio that focuses on cool disciplines like “computational fashion,” is holding their Awards Benefit for its second year in a row. The benefit will honor this years Eyebeam Award winners for their creativity and courage. Check it out:
Eyebeam is “a nonprofit studio for collaborative experiments with technology toward a more imaginative and just world. By providing generous support to artists for research, production and education, Eyebeam makes ideas real.”
About the Awards Benefit, Eyebeam says:
We set the standard at last year’s inaugural Eyebeam Awards Benefit by celebrating Ayah Bdeir, founder and CEO of littleBits, and Trevor Paglen, critical geographer. This year, we are extraordinarily excited to give the Eyebeam Awards to two pioneers exemplifying creativity and courage: seminal curator Barbara London and the artist-activist collective Not An Alternative.
This event will take place on May 10th, 2016 from 6:30- 9:00 pm at the Industry City Distillery in Brooklyn, NY. Eyebeam promises an unforgettable time by having “a specially-curated experience of work by alums, as well as the final unveiling of the MSHR-designed, 3D-printed trophies.”
