Third Wave Fashion Introduces Membership Program for Fashion-Tech Startups

NEW YORK, NY — Thursday, June 14, 2012 — Third Wave Fashion—a company focused solely on helping fashion-tech entrepreneurs build their companies—is launching the Style Startups program. This is the first-ever membership program designed with the innovative fashion-tech entrepreneur in mind.
Launching today, Style Startups is a three-tiered members-only program, giving the most promising of fashion-tech startups the opportunity to not only become part of an exclusive network of similarly brilliant entrepreneurs, but also to gain immediate access to TWF’s already-established network of resources that startups may not be able to cultivate alone. This program is offered in addition to the bespoke mentorship that TWF already provides.
The beauty of the program is its accessibility and versatility; whether a company has just launched and is beginning the search for funding, or is closing out its Series A, the program is scaled so that all levels of startups can find authentic value.
The three tiers represent three different price points with increasing perks. These range from master classes with experts in the field (such as content strategy guru, Karen McGrane, and pitch coach extraordinaire, Bill Smartt) to social media promotions and free access to TWF events (plus discounted access to other events in the space, hosted by TWF cohorts). Also available are pitch coaching and mentorship, branding, marketing, legal, and business consulting hours, assistance with brand partnerships, as well as personal intros to investors and access to TWF’s network of beta testers.
Candidates will be screened by TWF through an application process. Those interested can find exact details here and apply here.
About Third Wave Fashion
Founded by Liza Kindred, TWF is a company whose main focus is to help fashion-tech startups kick ass. They do this by tracking and exploring the intersection of fashion + technology. They offer mentorship-style consulting for fashion-focused, web-based startups. TWF also hosts monthly meetups through, where their group has been reviewed as “cooler than a snow angel” by one of their 300 members. In addition to consulting and event-hosting, TWF will be launching a “Crunchbase-style” database of over 400 companies that embody the characteristics of what they call “Third Wave Fashion Companies”–fashion businesses that are leading the way online; that possess disruptive business models and teach people that bleeding edge technology can be sexy. An incubator program is also in the works, and should be launching in the next few months.
